Unless she is rehabilitating herself with Therapeutic Yoga, Debbie’s personal practice is Dynamic Yoga, which is a somatic slow flow form with an emphasis on Chandra Namaskar. Debbie will be sharing her personal practice with you in this session. You can expect an accessible slow-flow class with some therapeutic interludes as Debbie addresses any issues that might come to light on the day.
Karen will be leading an exploration into weaving Somatic movements into a yoga class. Her approach is all about how it feels for you, so you can move in ways that feel good. Expect to move well, breathe well & rest well at the end.
In this session, James will guide you through a sequence of traditional haṭhayoga prāṇāyāma practices, together with simple associated exercises and Sanskrit mantras. The class will conclude with a restful guided relaxation.
Beginning the day from silence, we will begin with Sattvic morning chants (Sanskrit peace prayers) followed by enlivening and balancing prāṇāyāma. Our physical āsana journey will visit each cakra in turn and is an opportunity to bring awareness to and place intention within each. The practice closes with a short, yogic meditation and, of course, śavāsana.
This class is designed to aid a good night's sleep, helping you to unwind and wake up refreshed. It weaves gentle yoga movements with mantra recitations to release tension in the body, the practice of Tibetan humming Bee breath to quiet the mind, finishing with Yoga Nidra. As you rest in this supported stillness, you will be immersed in a soundscape featuring quartz crystal bowls and other hypnotic sounds.

In this talk, we will explore the concept of yoga from an Advaita Vedānta perspective, drawing on the Bhagavad Gītā, the Yoga Vasiṣṭha, the Upaniṣads, and Śaṅkara’s commentary on the Yoga Sūtras. It examines how yoga is understood as the disciplined path to self-realisation, culminating in
the recognition of Ātman as non-different from Brahman. Participants will gain insight into the philosophical foundations of yoga and its practical implications for cultivating freedom and inner unity.
